Special Olympic Athletes Enjoy a Day with FUNfitness

Over 60 Physical Therapy volunteers, including local clinicians and Indiana State University DPT students and faculty, provided fitness screens as well as education (in the areas of flexibility, strength, balance, and aerobic fitness) to Special Olympics athletes during the Summer Games in Terre Haute on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Multistate Practice Privileges, 1 License

The possibility that PTs and PTAs could one day gain practice privileges in multiple states without having to obtain multiple state licenses is now a reality. Thanks to recent legislation signed in Washington, the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact can begin creating the operational structure to allow for a 2018 rollout in at least 10 states.
