Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants should strive to apply principles of altruism, excellence, caring, ethics, respect, communication and accountability in working together with other professionals to achieve optimal health and wellness in individuals and communities.

Finally, as an important part of their work, EJC has updated its Ethics Complaint Form. Anyone who believes that a PT member of APTA has violated the Code of Ethics for the Physical Therapist, or a PTA member has violated the Standards of Ethical Conduct for the Physical Therapist Assistant, may submit a complaint form online. There is a form for members as well as a form for nonmembers to submit. EJC asks that you please update your websites and informational materials on this subject accordingly.
