President’s Message (June 2026)

A Message From the APTA Indiana President

June 16, 2026

Effective January 1, 2027, APTA Indiana will implement an annual dues adjustment to support the continued growth and impact of our association.

To maintain and advance the services, advocacy efforts, and member benefits that support physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students across Indiana, the Board of Directors has approved a modest adjustment to our dues structure. Serving as your Chapter President is an honor, and I am proud of what we continue to accomplish together. Under the new structure, dues for entry-level student members will increase by $10 per year, while all other member categories will increase by $30 per year.

This decision follows a careful review of our Chapter’s impact over the past decade. Through dedicated legislative advocacy, lobbying, and practice and payment specialist support, we have built strong momentum that we are fully committed to sustaining.

Although responsible financial stewardship and investment performance have helped support the Chapter’s operations, dues revenue remains the foundation of a healthy and sustainable professional association. Ten years ago, there was a $10 reduction in dues and the dues have not been changed since. This adjustment will help ensure that APTA Indiana can continue investing in advocacy, professional development, student engagement, leadership development, and member resources for years to come.

Thank you for your continued support and investment in our profession and APTA Indiana.

Sincerely,

Paul Lonnemann, PT, DPT
President, APTA Indiana
