October is National Physical Therapy Month, and we invite PTs and PTAs across Indiana to join us in celebrating through service. Participate in PT Day of Service on October 11 by volunteering in your local community. If you’re unavailable that day, we encourage you to find another time during the month to give back.
Share your impact! Send photos and a brief description of your volunteer activity to info@aptaindiana.org so we can highlight your efforts on our website.
Thank you for helping us represent the field of physical therapy through service and education!

SAWs – Servants at Work
As PTs and PTAs, we’re passionate about helping our patients achieve greater accessibility and independence. But sometimes, real-life barriers—like the lack of a ramp—stand in their way. That’s where Servants at Work, Inc. (SAWs) comes in. SAWs is an incredible organization making a real difference right here in Indiana. They build ramps for individuals with disabilities in low-income households, giving people the freedom to enter and leave their homes safely and with dignity.
The best part? You can be part of this life-changing work. No experience is needed—SAWs provides everything you need when you show up to a build. All it takes is a few hours of your time to create a lasting impact.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is it. Follow the link below to learn more and sign up to volunteer with SAWs. Let’s help break down barriers—together.
