Vice President

Frank Bates, PT, DPT, MBA
Over the past decade, APTA and INAPTA have made strong strides in improving responsiveness to member needs and elevating the role of physical therapy within the healthcare community. These accomplishments have enhanced the public’s perception of physical therapy within Indiana and across the United States. Continued success requires engaging new PTs and PTAs to participate in INAPTA and APTA early in their careers. In my role as a physical therapy professor, I encourage students and graduates to get involved, to attend meetings, and to contribute …

Blair Frye, PT
I have had the great joy of serving alongside truly some of the great leaders of our profession, both when I lived in North Carolina and worked alongside the likes of Ben Massey, Bob and Jan Richardson, and others like them. That privilege carried over to when I moved to Indiana over 8 years ago now, and I have served under past presidents like Jerry Smith, Kelly Renner, and Shane Sommers. All that to say that I have learned much, and while we would all likely agree that learning is a life-long event, I feel that I am prepared and ready to enter this next step in my career and assist Indiana in the process …

For the last two years, I have served on the INAPTA Board of Directors in the role of “New Professional.” During this time, I have learned about the opportunities and potential that we, as a profession, have to shape the future of physical therapy in our state. I strongly believe that we must take a proactive approach in directing that future and this is why I wish to continue to serve on the Board of Directors. As secretary, I will continue to be a voice for my peers and assist our leadership to ensure that Indiana is a state that allows for the best practice environment and is on the forefront of the pertinent issues to our profession.

Thank you for your consideration for the position of Director at Large-Central.  As a young therapist 18 years ago I was certain at some point in my career I would achieve a “steady state” in PT where I would understand my patients, have a good grasp on the laws guiding our profession, understand the workings of the payors and how they influence our profession, and have a calm sense of “I have this all under control.”  …
