Student Opportunity to Attend the APTA Federal Advocacy Forum

Federal Advocacy ForumWelcome to 2018!  I know you are all thinking about classes starting back up for the spring semester, but I am still looking for students to join the Indiana delegation to the annual Federal Advocacy Forum in Washington, D.C.  Please consider reaching out to me and let’s make this a historic year!

The INAPTA would like to make you aware of an opportunity to attend the Federal Advocacy Forum (FAF) in 2018.  This is a national lobbying effort of APTA and its members to march on Capital Hill and speak directly with legislators and their staff and advocate for legislation that is of importance to your profession and your patients.  Get involved now!

INAPTA will be sponsoring 4 student PTs or PTAs of Indiana residence to attend the FAF being held in Washington, D.C. next April 29-May 1, 2018.  This opportunity covers airfare, registration, and hotel for two nights.  Come join your professional colleagues from Indiana and around the country as they take part in very important work to become informed and lobby on behalf of the profession.

All that is required to attend is to send an essay that outlines why you would like to attend to Blair Frye, PT — Indiana’s Federal Affairs Liaison — at by March 1, 2018.  If selected, you will be notified with further instructions on how to proceed.  In addition, if you are selected, a final essay/board report will be expected from you to submit to the board after the FAF.

Thank you for your interest!
